I should not lie because Dad is going to give me more and more work, the more and more I lie. He sometimes won't let me go to karate because I have so much work to do from lying. I mostly only lie about IXL. If Daddy sees me lying I have to do the IXL I lied about plus others I didn't lie about. I also lie about watching YouTube, saying I don't watch it though I do.
Daddy always finds out. Sometimes he makes me do schoolwork on Saturdays and Sundays. I will be working this weekend. If I lie less people will trust me. When I lie it is harder to keep friends. And it is hard to remember all the lies I said, and to who. I now think I will have to work on Christmas! If I find a hard IXL and daddy is not here to help me, I lie about doing it. I always get loaded up with work when I lie. Now I am going to talk about honesty. Daddy likes it when I am honest Honesty is not having to remember lies, and worry about which friends you told them to. If I find an easy IXL I do my best and try to do it. I don't lie about reading though. I read every night when daddy is sleeping. Now I am going to talk about respect. I try to treat everyone I met and meet with respect. I even treat lucky who is our dog with respect. I also should also treat my books with respect. Daddy hates when I leave them on the floor in his office. Ashleigh One of the places is the woods which has spooky trees. The needles that were on the trees had fallen off. The trees in the woods where mostly pine-trees. The air in the woods was humid hot and unpleasing. Frank and Joe actually had to take a shower because of it.
The ground was not made of rock, it was made of grass. Grass and dirt actually. A lot of grass and a little dirt. Joe and his brother live on Elm street. I never herd of it. The Town that they live in is called bay-port. I have also never herd of that. Geckos are cool-looking little lizards that live in hot places. Like all reptiles they can’t regulate their body temp so they rely on the sun to keep them warm. They live mostly in deserts rainforests and jungles. Geckos can be as small as 1 inch or as large as 1 foot long. Their tails are fat.
Geckos store food in their tails. If you grab a gecko by the tail, the tail will come off so the gecko can escape. There are over 1,000 kinds of geckos divided into two species. One species has that can’t blink. The other type has eyelids and can blink just like you. Scientists can tell by a gecko’s pupils if it is diurnal or nocturnal. Diurnal geckos, which are awake during the day, have round pupils. Nocturnal geckos have vertical pupils, like a cat’s. Geckos have millions of tiny, bristly hairs on their feet. These hairs let them to stick to surfaces like a wall or ceiling. They’re a little like Velcro. Geckos have excellent eyesight. Geckos are insectivores. That means they eat bugs! They love worms, mealworms, crickets and grasshoppers. If you shine a flashlight in a gecko’s ear, the light will come out the other ear. Cool, don’t you think? Geckos make chirping sounds to communicate. Ashleigh Ocelots are carnivores, which means they only eat meat. They eat animals like rodents, rabbits, young deer, birds, snakes, and fish. Ocelots are found in every country south of the United States except Chile. Ocelots are sometimes found resting in trees during the day.
Ocelots travel from one to five miles per night. Males usually travel further than females though. Unlike most cats, ocelots do not avoid water and can swim well. Ocelots have sharp back teeth that can tear food like scissors cutting paper. Ocelots can live up to 7-10 years not in a zoo. They can live 20 years in a zoo. Female ocelots nurse their kittens for only six weeks but continue parenting them for up to two years. For the first five or six months, the mother brings food to the kittens, but after that, she teaches them to hunt. Ocelot kittens stay with their mothers till to they are 2 years old. Ashleigh Joe Hardy: He is 17 years old. He has blond hair. He is very smart. He likes to solve mysteries.
Frank Hardy: He is 18 years old. He is as smart as Joe. He has dark brown hair. He likes to study. He likes to solve mysteries like Joe. Chet: He helps solve mysteries. He lives in a farm. He is a good friend of the Hardy's. They all work together and make a great team. Though they do get hurt sometimes. If they do get hurt, they get fixed. Ashleigh I train at USA karate to learn how to defend myself. My favorite kick is the side kick. My favorite punch is the leopard's paw. My favorite form is ripping panther. My favorite stretch is the split.
My favorite sparring move is the front punch. I have a lot of friends at karate. There are five different levels of classes. The first is the little kids' class, for children 3 to 6 years old. Then there is my class, for the bigger kids, 7 to 13. There are classes for adults, and classes for kickboxing, and MMA. My dad is a black belt. So is my sister. I'm only a green belt. Daddy and Maddie go to the adult class. I used to train in the little kids' class, but I moved up to the bigger kids class. I have been training for 4 years. The rules of the dojo are effort, etiquette, sincerity, character, and self control. Right now, I am working on character. I'm trying, and slowly getting better at it. Ashleigh Chameleons have eyes that can swivel. They can look at two different things at once. The panther chameleon changes its color to yellow or red when it’s angry. When a chameleon is cold, it will become darker in color.
Dark colors attract heat better than light ones. Chameleons have a lightning-fast tongue. It flashes out to 26 times the length of its body to snatch insects. The tongue moves so fast that it is a blur. Sick chameleons look pale in color. Chameleons live in Africa, Asia, and southern Europe. The largest ones grow to 2 feet long. The smallest one is smaller than a finger. A chameleons skin can have spots of orange, yellow, red, blue or green. Chameleons also have bumpy scales on their bodies. Most chameleons lay eggs in a hole in the ground. Some incubate the eggs in their bodies and have live babies. Ashleigh Tulips are a part of the lily family. Tulips come in many colors, they come in pink, purple, red, yellow, and orange. Tulips live for more than 2 years. Tulips bloom in spring, they take only 3 to 7 days to bloom.
Tulips are the 3rd most popular flower, roses are the most popular. The height of a tulip is 10 to 70 centimeters. Every tulip has 6 petals. The most popular color of tulips is red. Tulips are surprisingly edible. There is also tulip wine which some people drink. There are over 3000 different kinds of tulips. Tulips did not arrive to the United States until the 1800s. Tulip Festivals are held across the world every spring. Tulip festivals sometimes have over 250,000 brightly-colored tulips. Tulips are most often seen during the spring months. Ashleigh Unlike many other songbirds that live in North America, both male and female cardinals can sing. Usually other birds that are males are capable of singing. When a female cardinal sings from its nest, it means she’s telling the male she needs more food for their baby or for themselves. During the spring, male Northern Cardinal sometimes attack a window. It’s actually attacking his reflection in the glass because he will angrily defend his breeding territory from intruding males.
Cardinals eat insects grain, seeds and fruits. Cardinals sometimes join flocks of other birds. Cardinals raise as many as three groups, or clutches, of eggs each summer. During the mating season, which begins in March, the males are so hot-blooded, that although they breed near birds of other species, they will never allow one of their own kinds to nestle in their territory. A male cardinal can be seen following another from bush to bush. In the Southern Districts cardinals have been known to raise three broods in a single season. Cardinals are good parents. Young cardinals follow their parents on the ground for several days after leaving the nest. They tend to remain with their parents until they are able to find food on their own. While the male is caring for his family his red color will change to a shade of brown. A cardinals eggs may number from three to six quickly. Cardinal nests can be found in some bushes, or trees, often near a fence, the middle of a field. They can sometimes be found close to houses or in gardens. Ashleigh |
