If I had a pet dinosaur, I would ride it like a horse. I would feed it too, but spend most of my time riding it. I would feed it meat like cows from farms or horses from fields. It would sleep in a big wooden shack, and I would name him Rex.
That is what I would do with my pet dinosaur. Ashleigh

One night, Maddie was taking me for a walk just before dinner. We were just turning around when I saw a baloon tied to a basket on a tree. I went to get it loose, but I fell into it. Maddie didn't notice. When the sun was just going down, the rope snapped.
Up I went. The baloon went all the way up to the moon! As soon as the baloon popped, I jumped on the moon. I saw a lot of shooting stars. I missed my house, though. I also mised everyone and everything that I knew. I missed my sister, my Grandma and my Dad. I also missed my dog. It was getting dark, so I bounced on the stars until I got back to land, and then I walked home. Ashleigh The first thing I like to do in the morning is eat breafast. Then I like to play for a half hour. Then I do my daily school work Reading, Math, and Printing. I color in my favorite coloring book. Then I do Hidden Pictures in Highlights magazine.
On a Saturday morning I play with my iPad while I eat. Then a little later I go to the movies with my Dad. We get some popcorn and candy on the way. Later on when we come home from the movies I play Dragon City. Oh, I love that game! On Sunday Morning Neema gets me up early and gets me dressed for church. Then I eat breakast. We go to church in Jaffrey. The name of the church is: Saint Patricks. Sometimes in the afternoon I go walking the trails with Daddy, and Maddie. When I get home I am very tired. I like to relax by watching a movie. We have an early dinner. Then I take a shower and go to bed early. Ashleigh "Silence is the most powerful scream." I read this anonymous quote while looking for something to write about this evening. It reminded me of a poem I wrote to include in Sharon's book of poems. Sharon was a beautiful writer, and she left a large number of poems behind. On her death bed, I promised her that I would publish her poems. It took a while to gather all of the poems and get them ready for publishing, but they are finally ready. I have included a couple of my poems in the book, as well as one by Maddie. With any luck, the book will be ready to be published on Amazon for Christmas. The book is called "Butterfly Screams." Below, is one of the poems I wrote for the book, that the quote above reminded me of. Enjoy! Scream In Silence
I scream in silence, So my loved ones will not hear, I cry inside, So my eyes won’t shed a tear. I live my life, With a heart that’s broken bad. I have no emotions Except one… and that is sad. I do my best To get on with living life, But God knows How much I miss my wife. I scream in silence, And carry on like nothing’s wrong, I sing the lyrics, Though I really don’t like the song, Living life without you, Brings me unending pain, No one can see though, I’m like a tear drop in the rain. 6/26/14 Today I wrote a song called ''Painters In My House.'' And here are all the words: Painters are in my house in this nice time of year. They are painting inside and out. And it's like the paint is coming from the spout. They are so quiet, they never shout. Who know's when they will be done, but their work is bound to stun. Ashleigh
One day at karate class, I was doing sparring, and a boy that I have never met came in the door. He was a little shy, but he waved his hand and he said ''Hi.'' He said he was 5 years old and his name was Jack.
Jack said he had found a tunnel and wanted to know if anyone wanted to go and help him explore it. Just follow me Jack said. So me and my friends followed him out the door. He walked us behind the building and into the woods. After a few minutes we heard a rustling in the bushes. The sounds moved closer and finished with a loud oomph! as a little girl crashed through the nearest bush and fell on me! Her name was Jessica. She was happy to see us, since she had been taking a walk and had gotten lost in the woods. We told her about the tunnel and she decided to join us. We kept walking, and after another few minutes, we finally found it. The ground was littered with swords and helmets as if an ancient battle was fought there. There were skulls and bones and a chest full of rubies and gold. When we touched the gold was when the trouble started. Jessica yelled ''LOOK!,'' and all around us the skulls and bones started moving!'' She said ''That's weird!''. I said. ''Skulls don't move by themselves.!", and Jack said 'They might if they were alive, or evil!''. Jessica said. ''What do you think we should do? ''RUN''! We all agreed, and we ran away as fast as our little legs could take us! All of us left with a couple of coins and rubies, though, so our trip was not wasted. The next day, when we went to go back to the cave, we couldn't find it. Jack and Jessica had also disappeared, never to be seen again. Ashleigh |
