We have so many drinks at our house. We have apple juice, orange juice, milk, water, and Pepsi. I like the milk the best. It is so good. I have liked milk since I was a baby. Dad does not really like it but sometimes he drinks it.
Maddie my sister likes it with cookies. Neema is the same. We never give Lucky milk. I think it is good.We also have tea, coffee, hot chocolate, and lemonade. Dad likes lemonade when it is dinner time. He also likes tea. I do not like tea. It is my least favorite drink. Sometimes i drink lemonade. Ashleigh

Today I read a new book called ''Magic Tree House Stage Fright On A Summer night.'' One rainy night Jack and Annie went to the tree house because they needed to save Camelot. They found a book about the England. There they had to put on a play. They meet two nice people one was named Will, and the other one was named Pate.
They gave them the thing they needed and it was a scroll. They needed to do it in front of 300 people. Jack needed to read a story to the people, and Annie needed to sing the fairy queen. Then they had to finish off with a bow. Then they went home. Ashleigh I forget if I've posted this recipe before. I don't think I have, or if I have then it was a variant that clearly wasn't as good as the one I've now found. In any case, for those of you who don't know what mug cake is... that's literally all it is! It's a quick and easy one-serving cake that's microwaved in a coffee mug and served as is. Aside from taking only 3 minutes to prepare and make, it's also really easy cleanup and it's very open and customizable to whatever you feel like eating.
YOU WILL NEED: 3 tbsp cake mix (your choice, I don't recommend angel food cake or anything with very particular instructions, just basic box mix) 2 tbsp water 1 mug PREP: The preparation is scarily easy, honestly. You just combine the mix and water in a mug until all lumps are gone (I stir it with a fork) and then microwave for 1 minute! Depending on your microwave, you may need to let the cake "bake" for an extra 10 seconds. You can top the cake however you want- or if you want to get creative, you can add a tablespoon of Nutella to the center of the batter before microwaving the cake. This makes for a gooey core, but whatever you choose to fill your cake with is up to you. Enjoy! - Maddie "Forgiveness doesn't excuse their behavior. Forgiveness prevents their behavior from destroying your heart."
I love this quote so much because it's so true. Forgiveness in no way erases or justifies the behavior of whoever you're forgiving- it just means that you're mature enough to move past it and leave it behind. Believe it or not, forgiveness is something I had to learn. It wasn't something that always came naturally to me. Well- it did, but not in the proper way. I think everyone knows how to say sorry and "forget" the actions of others; in fact, I see it being done around me constantly. I don't think everyone truly knows how to forgive, though. To forgive is to say more than just sorry. Sometimes, even most times, forgiveness will happen without a word being said. Sometimes forgiveness is just the acceptance that everyone is human, and that everyone makes mistakes. It's a gentle acknowledgment that we're all trying to improve ourselves, and that we're all trying to live happily- sometimes, things just don't go as planned. "True forgiveness is not an action after the fact, it is an attitude with which you enter each moment." There are very few things that I won't forgive, because I truly do believe that most people deserve a second chance. More importantly than forgiving others, though- I believe that forgiving yourself is perhaps one of the most vital and important things that a person could do. Before you can truly forgive anyone else, you first have to come to terms with yourself and forgive yourself. Maybe you misunderstood or lacked knowledge, maybe you acted on impulse, or maybe you were just rude because you were in a bad mood... whatever the case may be, know yourself and your mind well enough to forgive yourself for your mistake and move forward to adjusting and improving yourself for the future. Without forgiveness, there is no progress forward... and that goes for both you, and others. Please take the time and forgive yourself. God knows it took me too long to learn the importance of it, and I'd hate for others to suffer how I did due to a lack of knowledge. - Maddie For those who don't know or haven't seen a recent photo of me, I enjoy dyeing my hair many various bright colors. I've had purples, blues, and greens- and I do all of the work myself. I think I'm average at it, but I must be a little above average as I've had a few people (one of whom was an actual professional hairdresser) ask me if my hair was professionally done. Little do they know, it's a $9 box of dye from Walmart!
I digress. I love dyeing my own hair, since it's much cheaper than going to a salon and it takes a dramatically smaller amount of time. I don't mind getting my hands dirty OR doing the prep and cleanup that comes with dyeing my own hair.. but not everyone is like me. Some people really dislike mess, and this is where the cons of self-dyeing come in. I don't recommend dyeing your own hair if you don't like stains. Your skin WILL get stained unless you're and absolute perfectionist, and even then, blotches of loose dye will find their way to your skin. I also wouldn't recommend dyeing your own hair if you don't want to take the time to prepare and area for yourself... unless you want a complete disaster left behind, you'll need to coat the floor and surface you'll be working on with either a plastic sheet or various towels. You also need to make sure you don't have an open "splash zone"... aka area where dye can potentially fly from your hair as you move (although this really depends on the length of your hair). Finally, the only tips I can really offer are the following: 1). Make sure you have CLEANING bleach handy before showering and washing the dye out- dye residue stains shower floors. 2). Vaseline is incredibly handy- coat areas of your skin that you don't want layered with dye before beginning and it'll wipe right off. 3). Hot water and strong dish soap is one of the safest and most effective ways to remove dye from your skin. That aside- have fun! - Maddie Today, I wanted to share one of my favorite recipes with our readers. I don't know if it's just me, but I really tend to hate boxed mac and cheese. It's overly processed and loaded with chemicals and it doesn't even taste good- hence why I went searching for a recipe that would allow me to make my own cheese sauce (since you know- the pasta in and of itself isn't horrible quality).
In my search, I found a very easy-to-make recipe that actually requires you to use a skillet! It doesn't take long to prepare, nor does it require any gourmet ingredients. Cleanup is kept to a skillet and maybe 2 measuring cups. Recipe below! INGREDIENTS 3 cups whole milk, divided 2 cups uncooked elbow macaroni ½ Tbsp. salt ½ Tbsp. pepper ¾ cup shredded cheddar cheese (I prefer to use a full cup of cheddar and only a 1/2 cup of mozzarella, but to each their own) ¾ cup shredded mozzarella cheese 1 cup seasoned panko bread crumbs Cooking spray PREPARATION 1. Combine 2 cups of milk, macaroni, salt, and pepper in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Bring to a boil, stirring constantly to prevent sticking, then turn the heat down to medium-low heat and cook, stirring, until milk has reduced to a thick sauce. Add the remaining 1 cup of milk and cook until pasta is al dente and milk has reduced by about half. Add the cheddar and mozzarella, stirring until cheese is melted and pasta is evenly coated. 2. Sprinkle the bread crumbs evenly across the top of the mac ‘n’ cheese, using your hand to press them down into the crevices. Spray the bread crumbs with cooking spray in a circular motion for about 4 seconds to coat them evenly. 3. Broil on high until bread crumbs are golden brown and toasty, about 5 minutes, watching carefully to make sure the bread crumbs don’t burn. Serve! recipe courtesy of Buzzfeed We have a white car that was broken for a long time. Daddy had to call the mechanic and get it fixed. He did not call for a long time because he had a lot of work. So one day when he did not have a lot of work, he did call the mechanic and they came and towed the car away.. They took the car and fixed it.
Now, the car is back! I am so happy to see the White Car again. I am going to ride in it today. I am also going to bring some of my toys along. I am so happy! Ashleigh Today I read a new book called ''Magic Tree House Civil War On Sunday.'' One afternoon Jack and Annie went to the tree house. Morgan was not there. But they did find the book they needed to go to the place she wanted them to go. The cover of the book said ''The Civil War.''
So they looked at a picture and went to the battle shown. When they arrived they were surrounded by men who were covered in blood, but were still alive. Annie wanted to help one of the men and she did. When she helped the man up, she then asked one of the woman If they could be of help. The woman said yes, and gave them food, and water to give to the men. Before they left to serve the men, the woman gave them a list to follow. That is when Jack took the list and wanted to go home since the list was the thing they needed. Annie wanted to help the men so they stayed a bit longer and helped out. They helped to take some men to the hospital, and then they went home. Ashleigh Today I read a new book called ''Scooby-Doo! And The Carnival Creeper.''One day, the gang went to a carnival. While they were there, Shaggy, and Scooby had a lot of fun. They even won a big blue teddy bear. Then they ran into the Creeper.
They ran back to the others, and Daphne saw the teddy bear. They told her how they won it, and then told them about the Creeper. While looking for clues, they found some posters. One of them had an elephant named Bossie on it, while the other had a man named Astoundo on it.. So Velma, Shaggy, and Scooby went to Bossie's tent. while Daphne and Fred went to see Astoundo. Once at Bossie's tent, Velma found a popcorn bag. Scooby and Bossie became friends when Scooby gave her the blue teddy bear. When they where going to leave Bossie's tent, Bossie threw a peanut for Scooby and he caught it. Then Scooby and Shaggy got something to eat and saw the Creeper again. When they got back to the gang they set a trap! They used Scooby and Shaggy to lure the Creeper to the Ferris wheel, and it worked. They caught the Creeper, and it was Astoundo. Ashleigh |
