Today I read a new book called ''Magic Tree House: Shadow of the Shark.'' One day Jack and Annie went to the tree house. Teddy told them that Morgan never thanked them for what they have done. Teddy told them that they could go on a vacation whereever they wanted. They chose Cozumel.
When they got there, they found a raft and tried it out. It sailed to the coral reef. Lucky For them they brought their swimming things. They dived down and saw hundreds of jellyfish, starfish, normal fish, and lots more. Though they almost got eaten by a white shark. They also met a girl named Heart-of the-Wind that helped them escape for sells, Jaguars, crocodiles, and more. When they got the raft back in the water, a whale shark gave them a ride back to the tree house. Ashleigh

The above quote is attributed to Gandhi, and I'm honestly surprised that I've never heard of it before! If you're a long-time reader of this blog, then you know by now that I'm an avid learner and an extreme advocate of continual learning. I've met too many closed-minded people in my life that believe because they're adults, there's nothing left to learn. Now, I'm not going to stereotype all adults as this- I also know many adults who are dedicated to learning something new every day, my dad being on of them. I just fail to comprehend how anyone can believe that they're exempt from learning.
I see life as a gigantic unknown void- because for me, right now, it is. In fact, I think life is a void of unknown for most people! Most of us just have too much pride to admit it. Even if you've lived a long and hearty life, chances are you left many stones un-turned and failed to go after EVERY dream you had, or meet every goal. If you somehow managed to accomplish everything you ever set out to do, I commend you- but I also question why you never replenished your goals after reaching them. That's a post topic for an entirely different day though, and I'd rather talk about learning. To get back to what I was saying before about life being a void, I mean that it's impossible to know everything. It's impossible to experience everything. What we do in life pales in comparison to all the opportunities we're given that we don't take, and all of the possible paths our lives could take. Everything winds down to choice, and chance. We're only given one life to live, and obviously we can't do everything- but we can maximize our good experiences through choice. Do you want a job that allows you to travel? Then you need to go out and get that job. If you find yourself unable to, then make small steps working towards that job. Maybe that job requires and education higher than the one you got. Perfect, you have another step to take towards your goal. Go out and get that education. Need funds to pay for the education? Find a smaller job, angling towards your interests. GET that job. Obviously, life throws curveballs and nothing ever works out as planned, but you see my point. Get, get, get. In order to achieve anything in life, you have to go after it. Sometimes, going after something requires learning. Don't let your pride mute your potential. - Maddie The above quote is attributed to Robert Frost, and I believe I've mentioned it in a previous post. Today, I wanted to re-visit it and give my thoughts and own interpretation of what I believe it means. Obviously, the cut-and-dry message is that life goes on, and that that's the most important thing you can learn in life... and while I don't disagree, I believe there's something slightly more to be had with this quote.
I believe Frost was trying to say that though life can teach you many things through various trials, it's important to look past it and remember that regardless of struggle, life goes on. Obviously, you'll learn many lessons in life- however, it's relatively common knowledge that some of our greatest lessons are hard-earned and come at some expense to us. It's impossible to live your life without suffering a little bit. Pain and struggle are inevitable; what lessons you choose to take from the struggles are not. That being said, while it's important to learn from whatever life puts you through, it's more important to remember that regardless of what you go through, no matter how bad things may get, life will go on. I know that I've already been through a lot of trial and tribulation in my life, and I'm just 15! Life hits us at different points, and that's okay. I'm sure everyone can soundly say they've had a day where they've wanted to sit down and give up. Some of us may have even endured weeks or months of this thinking. It's sad, but it's life- and as Frost says, it goes on. I don't quite know where I was headed with this post. I think I just wanted to clarify the quote, because I fully agree with it. If you've got any additional thoughts relating to this quote, please leave them in the comments! I love hearing feedback, and seeing things from a different perspective. - Maddie The red kangaroo is the world's largest marsupial, and it is native to Australia. Female Kangaroos have one baby at a time. At birth a baby kangaroo is smaller than a cherry. The little kangaroo climbs into its mother's pouch as soon as it is born and does not leave for two months. Until they reach about eight months of age, threatened young kangaroos, called joeys, will quickly dive for the safety of mom's pouch when a predator is near.
As they grow a joeys' head and feet can often be seen hanging out of the pouch. Red kangaroos hop along on their powerful legs with great speed. A red kangaroo can reach speeds of over 35 miles an hour. Their bounding allows them to cover 25 feet in a single leap and to jump 6 feet high. Female red kangaroos are smaller, lighter, and faster than males. Larger male kangaroos are very powerful. Male kangaroos sometimes fight over mates. They often lean back on their tails and box each other with their legs. Kangaroos can also bite and use their sharp claws, which they may do in battle with an enemy like a dingo. Red kangaroos live in Australia's deserts and open grasslands, gathering in groups called mobs. Many animals roam Australia. Many are killed each year for their skins and meat. Humans also kill them for food. Ashleigh Pandas are mammals that have a big appetite for bamboo. Pandas eat for the first half the day. It hungrily the plucks stalks with wrist bones and thumbs. Pandas will sometimes eat birds or rodents as well. Wild pandas live only in China.
High bamboo forests are cool and wet—just as pandas like it. They may climb as high as 13,000 feet in the mountains to feed on bamboo. Pandas are often seen with their hind legs stretched out before them. Pandas are also good tree climbers, and swimmers. Pandas have sense of smell that males use to avoid each other and to find females for mating in the spring. After five-months, females give birth to a cub or two, though they cannot care for both twins. The blind babies are 5 ounces at birth and cannot crawl until they reach three months of age. They are born white, and develop their much-loved coloring later. Ashleigh Today I read a new book called ''Magic Tree House: Hurry Up Houdini.'' One day Jack and Annie went to the tree house. They needed to go to Coney island to get the secret of greatness from the Great Houdini. When they got there, they had to ask a boy named Harry, and a girl named Bess for Directions. Though when they got to the ticket both, they saw a sigh that said SOLD OUT.
Then Annie had an idea. She would ask the ticket seller if they could be on stage to do some tricks. Sure said the ticket seller. Annie was happy, but Jack was mad. He was mad because Annie didn't tell him what she was doing. He stomped off. Then he remembered that Annie didn't have the magic mist. He ran back and they both did the show. After that they realized that the Great Houdini had arrived. They all so realized that the Great Houdini was Harry and Bess. After clapping 1000 times, the crowd left. So did Bess and Harry. Then Jack felt something on his finger. There ring was on fire. That meant that they could go home. They did. Ashleigh It's been awhile since I've posted a collection of quotes on this blog, and I think it's due time for a new set. This collection is actually inspired by a card that was sent to me awhile back by my Aunt Michelle. My aunt will often send cards to me (and my dad and sister) to check in with us, to send us recipes, or other small things. Oftentimes, these cards have cool designs on them or even good quotes. One of the cards I had received last year had a great quote on it, to the point that I actually took the card and pinned it up on a corkboard I have in my room. I recently received a few new posters for my room, and in putting them up, I re-discovered the quote. It was a Helen Keller quote, and it inspired me to go searching for more inspirational quotes. Helen Keller was an incredible woman who did plenty of amazing things throughout her life, despite being deaf, blind, and essentially mute. She graduated college and went on to become a phenomenal author and founded the ACLU. This (among many other accomplishments) earned her many recognition honors. Below is the quote that is in my room, and others that I found and loved. "Walking with a friend in the dark, is better than walking alone in the light."
"The only thing worse than being blind, is having sight without vision." "When one door of happiness closes, another opens; but often we look so long at the closed door that we do not see the one which has been opened for us." "No effort that we make to attain something beautiful is ever lost." "People don't like to think. If one thinks, one must reach a conclusion. Conclusions are not always pleasant." "A bend in the road is not the end of the road- unless you fail to make the turn." "There are no shortcuts to any place worth going." “Believe, when you are most unhappy, that there is something for you to do in the world. So long as you can sweeten another's pain, life is not in vain.” Today we have a guest post from Mountain Rants reader, Ginger, who has responded to Maddie's Letter Challenge. Originally written in the comments section, we have moved it to a guest post because it is a beautiful letter and should be enjoyed by all. A copy of this has also been placed in the "The Letters" section of our blog. Enjoy!
Thanks Ginger! The Mountain Rants Editors ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Your letter inspired me to write my own. Here goes...3 Dear Dreams, Hear me out. I know this may seem a bit long winded and it's stuff you already know, but it wasn't so long ago that I finally figured you out. Dreams, you are like the gilt edged ribbons on the presents we get. The gauzy ones with the edge of gold that make the bow stand up and dazzle—like it’s saying, “Look at what I might be.” In much the same way, Dreams, you are the harbinger of “what might be” in my life. I confess; I am a dreamer—never to be confused with a daydreamer. Daydreaming is the fluff on the periphery of my mind. You, Dreams, start in the center of my brain and lodge in my soul. On the one hand, daydreaming is like a sailboat without a rudder, a vessel aimlessly carried by the wind. You, Dreams, on the other hand, have been greatly responsible for plotting the course of my life. My crazy faith in you, Dreams, is not unfounded. You are the stuff, not fluff, of my reality. As a kid, I dreamed of horses. My earliest recollection is of me at four, the youngest of three children, with a widowed mother and a father I don't remember, riding a radiator in a second floor apartment. Dreams, you were my rudder or, more aptly, my reins, and at seventeen “city kid me” with my newbie driving license bought a horse and drove fifty miles at night to care for it. Thanks to you, Dreams, my passion became a reality. Two more horses to follow, and it has both literally and figuratively been a great ride. Now I'll fill you in on the stuff you'd have no way of knowing. Only recently I've realized not to become complacent about “dreams realized.” Passions realized are not endings but rather the impetus to invite you to coffee, a walk in the woods, or out in a boat on the ocean. When one dream becomes a reality, it's time to start dreaming again. I had a dream of catching a big fish and landed a thirty-five pound striped bass which led to a seventy pound marlin. And because you are such a task master, Dreams, I've started strength training so I can land a tuna. I totally understand; dreams without work are merely daydreams. Yup, you're like the gilt edged ribbon on the present. Sometimes what's under the lid is a disappointment, but, more often than not, it's more than I ever could've dreamed of. Thank you from the depths of my soul, Ginger Lately, I've been dealing with some issues within my personal life that have been dragging me down. Despite my best efforts to ignore the issues that are pressing on my mental state, it's been draining me of both my inspiration and my motivation to write. I promised myself I'd get back to writing consistently, promised myself I'd stick to a schedule- but life happens, and as it does, you tend to get lost in the counterbalance between positive and negative.
This past week has been a tidal wave of negative for me. I've honestly never felt more personally attacked, criticized, and dragged down than I have recently. I've tried working out, hiking, baking, even playing games to take my mind off of the situation- but nothing seems to work. My dad's advice was to "let it go, because what is, is, and there's nothing you can do about it". While that's not always the case for life's many problems, in this scenario, it sadly is. There's nothing to be done about the situation, it just is. I've come to the conclusion that some people are simply put in your life as a test, to see how well you can deal with crushing negativity. While I've been letting it get the best of me recently, I've decided that it's time to stop letting someone irrelevant win over my mind, and put some positive thinking to work. Anyone who actively tries to drag you down is looking to impede on your success, and keep you from reaching your goals in life... by letting negativity halt me in my tracks, I'm doing nothing more than letting this person win. That ends now. From today forward, I'm going to use the negativity as a reason to succeed further. I'll use it as motivation to push me to get ahead of myself, ahead of my schedules- so I have more time for myself, to relax and counteract the negativity in my life. Today, I did some extra studying for work I'll be doing next week, and tonight I plan on treating myself to a long, hot bath. This weekend is going to be dedicated to self-improvement- and also to clearing out some of the mess from around the house. I'll be back at the Rietta flea market with Seth this weekend, and I plan on putting my energy towards making progress around the house and bringing in some additional cash. If any of our readers are in the New England area and would like to visit us, we're there between 8AM and 2PM on Sundays (weather permitting). Just google the Rietta Ranch flea market to get the exact address and directions from your location. I look forward to seeing you. - Maddie This post is going to simply be a recipe- but I'm relatively proud of it, because it's my own spin-off of a recipe I've posted on this blog before! The recipe (for my casual readers) was the BBQ chicken pizza. My original plan, upon creating this recipe, was to make THAT- however, I discovered that I hadn't defrosted my ground chicken and decided to use what I had defrosted instead. The recipe below was what followed.
You will need: 2 lbs ground italian sausage (sweet or hot, up to you) 1 cup, 2tbsp of mozzarella cheese (shredded, plus however much you want to put on your pizza) 1 10 oz. brick of frozen spinach 1/2 - 3/4 cup italian-style tomato sauce (I typically use Prego) 1 tbsp butter 1 tsp garlic powder Prep: Preheat oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit. Line a large cookie sheet (or pizza pan) with parchment paper, and then grease them. In a large bowl, combine 1 cup of mozzarella and the italian sausage until they're well-combined. Then, spread this mixture out across the greased pan until it fills out the pan and is an even crust. You'll want to cook this crust for about 25 minutes to ensure that it cooks all the way through. Be sure that you have a clean oven, since the sausage is incredibly oily and does sputter as it cooks. You don't want a fire starting. While the crust cooks, put your spinach brick into a bowl and microwave it for 7 minutes. Once it's done, drain your spinach and add the remaining 2 tbsp of mozzarella, butter, and garlic powder. Mix the spinach. This will be the first layer of your pizza. Once your crust is cooked, drain it of oil and then add your spinach layer. I added a layer of mozzarella on top of the spinach, but it's completely optional. Next, spread out your tomato sauce and finally add however much shredded mozzarella you'd like on top of your pizza. I use anywhere from 2-3 cups, but in my opinion you can never have too much cheese, so add as much as you usually enjoy. Finally, broil the pizza until the cheese is melted and then enjoy! This pizza actually got a better review from my family than the BBQ chicken pizza that I altered the recipe from- so please let me know your opinion if you make it! - Maddie Zebras are mammals which have patterns that may make it difficult for predators to see. These stripes may also help zebras recognize one another. They graze on grass. They even groom one another. Zebras live in small family groups.
Family members will always remain close with the herd. Zebras must be constantly aware of lions and hyenas. If a zebra sees a predator, it makes a noise to warn the other zebras. Ashleigh Today I read a new book called: ''Finding Nemo.'' One ocean morning, a clownfish named Nemo was going to go to his new school. He had three classmates. One of them was a pink octopus named Pearl, his second classmate was a butterfly fish named Tad, and his third classmate was a sea horse named Sheldon. They had a good time, though they did almost fall off a cliff!
Before they could get back on safe ground, a scuba diver and a fish net captured Nemo. Nemo's dad, Marlin, tried to save him, but it was no use. After the boat was gone, Marlin asked a blue tank fish named Dory for help. While Dory and Marlin looked, Nemo was put in a fish tank. In the fish tank was a fish named Gill, and another fish named Bubbles. A shrimp named Jacques, and a blowfish named Bloat also lived in the tank. Nemo wanted to go home. He had to jam the toilet to make the tank dirty. That way a girl named Darla could dump the water in the ocean. The first time he failed. The second time he got it in. When he was dumped in the ocean, he found his dad easily. Ashleigh Moose are mammals that are the largest of all the deer species. Males have huge antlers, which can spread 6 feet from end to end. Moose have long faces and muzzles that dangle over their chins. A moose's bell sways beneath the throat. Moose are so tall that they prefer to browse in higher grasses and shrubs.
Though lowering their heads to ground level can be difficult. In winter they eat shrubs and pine cones. They also scrape snow with their large hooves to clear areas for browsing. When the ice melts, moose are often seen in lakes, rivers, or wetlands, feeding on plants both at and below the surface. Moose are at home in the water and are good swimmers. They have been seen paddling several miles at a time. They can also stay under water for 30 seconds or more. They can run up to 35 miles an hour over short distances, and trot at 20 miles an hour. Ashleigh Today I read a new book called ''Magic Tree House: Dragon Of The Red Dawn.'' One early Morning Jack and Annie went to the tree house. They had to go to Japan to get the secret of happiness. When they were in Japan, two samurai asked for their passports. Jack and Annie were helped by an old man named Basho.
Basho was very friendly. He helped Jack and Annie. He invited them to sleep at his house. When they did, Jack was happy when he touched a spot of moonlight on the floor, Annie was happy when she heard a cricket chirp. The secret of happiness was found. Before they could get back to the tree house, they had to summon the Cloud Dragon. They needed to fight a fire with the Cloud Dragon. After fighting the fire, Jack and Annie went home. Ashleigh This wasn't today's original post, but after my laptop decided to do an update and destroy my original, I decided to say 'screw it' and just write a new post altogether. I'll have some new posts on the Letters next week, anyway. It didn't HAVE to get done today, I just prefer writing letters because of their unique perspective. In any case, I digress. I went onto google to find quotes about self-reflection and improvement, and instead found the above quote... however, it did inspire me and I wanted to share my thoughts on it.
My interpretation of this quote is that you should always be yourself and always seek to make yourself happy and gratified in your own life, because spending time trying to edit yourself to be an image someone else would want is rather pointless. So many of the people in your life are temporary, and even at 15 I'm already seeing this. I've gone through so many friendships that I thought would be unbreakable, and now those same people won't even glance at me when we pass on the street. It's as if we've reverted back to strangers. And in a way, I guess we have. We've both changed and grown into two uniquely different people. I could no longer tell you almost anything about the person I see, and I doubt she could tell you anything about me. That's a moot point, however, and perhaps the subject of another blog post in the future. Imagine, though, if I had centered my entire being and personality around this one friendship... only to lose it. Imagine if I had changed my lifestyle to suit this person, only for them to leave. I would've been a person who wasn't truly me... for someone no longer in my life. Once you alter yourself, it can be very hard to go back to who you were before... or back to yourself, in general. Even when the person leaves your life, the change they inspired remains.... and that change can be seen by anyone who encounters you, aside from one small detail: instead of seeing it as a change, people who didn't know you prior will take it as your true identity, and chances are that it will slowly become that if you don't recognize it in time. Now, I do know that changing for someone and not knowing how to go back to being yourself can be terrifying- you feel as if you've given up a large part of your own identity, and a loss of self-identity is horrible. I look at life through the lens that something once lost can never be re-gained. While that may sound a bit pessimistic, I see it as a chance to start over. Fresh opportunity, if you will. Instead of trying to go back to who you were, look at your lack of identity as a way to become who you were meant to be. Take the lessons you've learned, and build from them. Build, build, and keep on building until you are fully happy with the person you've become. At the end of the day, you will die for your own life. Not for anyone else's. Make sure you've lived a life worth dying for. - Maddie Today I read a new book called ''Magic Tree House: Soccer on Sunday.'' One night Jack and Annie went to the tree house. They had to go to Mexico to get the secret of greatness from Pele. To do that, they needed to make their ring glow. When they where in Mexico they met a guard named Benny that told them where to go.
Though it was not long before they had forgot what he had said. They did remember that they had to go on the subway. Jack and Annie were worried. They asked a lot of people, but no one answered except for one kid named Roberto. Roberto helped them get to the stadium. When they were there, Jack, Annie, and Roberto got lost. Though they found each other quickly. Still, their ring did not glow. When the game was over, they went to the party that Pele was going to. Before they did, they played soccer with some kids. After that they grabbed a bite to eat. Their ring was glowing so much that it was on fire. The secret of greatness was found. Ashleigh Today I read a new book called Magic Tree House: Christmas in Camelot. One snowy day, Jack and Annie where walking home. That was when they saw a dove. Annie knew it would lead them to the tree house. So they followed it. Annie was right. They climbed up the ladder a found a note. It said:
Dear Jack and Annie Please accept this Royal Invitation to spend Christmas in the kingdom of Camelot. _M Jack and Annie looked for a book, but could not find one. Then Annie pointed to the word Camelot and said I wish they could go there. Once she said that the wind started to blow until the tree house was spinning. When Jack and Annie looked out the window, a look of surprise crossed their faces. Right in front of them was a castle that looked deserted. Just Then Morgan le Fey appeared on the draw bridge. Morgan was amazed. She knew she had not sent them an invitation. She invited them inside. Jack and Annie followed Morgan into a big room. In the room sat the knights of the round table, King Arthur, and Queen Guinevere. Just then a Christmas knight ran though the door. It's horse slowed to a halt. All of Camelot's joy is dying! yelled the knight. One of you must go and get a compass, a key, a cup, and my robe. Me and Jack will go. NO! everyone yelled. YES! yelled the knight. The knight raised his hand, when he did everyone was frozen. When He gave Jack and Annie the robe he disappeared. When he had gone they ran through the door to the tree house. That was when they saw a stag that carried them to an iron gate. They saw the gate was guarded by guards. Jack looked at the robe the knight had gave them. Annie put the hood on her head. As soon as she did, she was invisible. They easily got past the guards, though in the other world they got stuck dancing with fairy's. As soon as Annie saw three knight's that looked sick of dancing but could not stop, she pulled Jack out of the dance. As soon as the knights got close to them they went in the dance again. Then pulled the knights out of the dance. The Knights thanked them. They gave them a compass, a key, and a cup. Then they used the cup for getting the water of memory and imagination. When they got back the knights were still there. They smiled at Jack and Annie. When they got back they spilled the water on the floor, which made them unfreeze. Then they went home and had a good winter. Ashleigh One day, a girl named Ashleigh was taking a walk down the driveway. Then she heard something in a bush. Being brave she looked behind the bush. Her eyes grew as big as a door knob. Right in front of her was a unicorn.
The unicorn ran away, Ashleigh followed. She ran for hours until she realized she had lost the unicorn. She also realized that she was so far away from her home, she could not find it. She turned around and looked into the eyes of the unicorn. Ashleigh almost fell down. Then she remembered the story about the wishing unicorn. So she wished she were home. Then she opened her eyes. She was home! Ashleigh thanked the unicorn, then ran into the house. This is not a true story, though it is a nice one. Ashleigh "Be comfortable with being uncomfortable." I am not sure who wrote this gem, but I think it is a great quote; if you look below the surface. My youngest daughter looked at this quote and told me: "See this is why I don 't read your posts. I never know what you are talking about!" Ashleigh is seven, and still takes everything she reads literally. I know some adults that do that too!
I think it is a great quote because it pertains to a fulfilled life. We don't grow if we remain in our comfort zone. In fact, we stagnate. The problem is, we all want to be comfortable. We like to avoid change which could involve second guessing ourselves in the future. Nearly everyone I know says they want to be happy. And yet, many of them don't take the steps to change things so that they are happy. Instead, they continue to do the things they have always done and complain about it instead. There are certain things that need to be done to bring about change... and that is true whether it is the pursuit of happiness, the pursuit of a relationship, or a new job. In fact, it is true for everything. First, you need to know what you want to do. By knowing what you want, I don't mean that in a vague sort of way. I mean you really need to picture it in great detail. You then need to start thinking about what it will entail to reach that goal. Make a road map so to speak. Put down every little detail of what you would have to do to accomplish your goal. For instance, if you wanted to be able to give your car a tune up, there are certain things you would have to do. First, you would need to know what supplies you would need to do it. Secondly, it would help if you actually knew how to do it. If you don't then you may have to watch someone do one first, or take a class, or even watch a you tube video. Third, you would want to make sure you have all of the tools that you will need. Next you'll need to set aside time to accomplish your task. Etc. Etc. Once you have your detailed plan, the next step is the most crucial part. You actually have to start your endeavor. So many people will make plans and then wait for the perfect moment to start their plan. Unfortunately for many, that moment never arrives. The best time to start, once you know what you want is now. Not next month, not next year, but now. Part of the beauty of have a plan with the steps necessary plainly written out is that you have broken down what you need to do in smaller steps. You have already set it in your mind that there are a number of things to be done to reach your goal, and you can start by attacking one of those small things. Starting a new thing is half of the battle! By starting small two things are accomplished. First it allows you to get comfortable with the changes you are initiating. Secondly, you see some progress right away, and hopefully that will give you enough incentive to continue. Third, you have to keep going! Don't stop until you see your plan through. Get comfortable with working towards your goal. You are moving out of your comfort zone, there will be times when you are uncertain, or tired, or scared. Keep going! If something that you are doing isn't working as expected, then modify it a bit until it does work for you! As a side note, if you are working towards a life changing event, then try to surround yourself with like-minded people. Look for people who have accomplished something similar to what you are attempting. Ask them questions. Get to know them. The worst thing you can do is surround yourself with people who tell you that you can't. If you want to do something, you usually can. There will be a trade off though. You need to be willing to give up something in exchange for the new thing. I find that the things you may need to give up come down to three categories: Time, Money, People, or a combination of the three. To write this post, I am giving up about an hour of my time. Although I am writing it during the day, I know exactly what I am cutting out to write it. I will work an hour later this evening so that my work load doesn't suffer, and I will still do karate with my daughters. Instead, I will read a few less articles on stumble upon tonight and I will keep off of Facebook and Stumble upon. All said, if you embrace change and try to effect the changes you want to see, I think you will find you will begin to become comfortable with being uncomfortable. Bobcats are mammals that live in forests, swamps, and deserts. Bobcats, are sometimes called wildcats. Bobcats eat deer, rabbits, birds, mice, squirrels, and other animals. Bobcats have long legs, large paws, and big ears. Bobcats are twice as big as housecats.
Most bobcats are brown or brownish red with a white belly and short, black-tipped tail. The cat is named for its tail, which happens to be cut, or bobbed. Baby bobcats will remain with their mother for 9 to 12 months. During this time they will learn to hunt before setting out on their own. Ashleigh |
