Goldfish can eat food such as shrimp, earth worms, lettuce, peas, oranges, krill, daphnia, duckweed, blood worms, and other shrimps. Goldfish live in China Japan and Korea. Goldfish also can even be found in waters all throughout the United States. Goldfish enjoy other goldfish. They like to play behind plants and nibble on real ones.
You can also find goldfish at Chinese restaurants. The Goldfish eggs should hatch in two or three days depending on the temperature of the water in your tank. First it is important to realize that the eggs must be fed by a male Goldfish, after the eggs have been laid by a female. Though if you do not have a tank or a goldfish it is okay. Goldfish are a lot of work! I like Goldfish. Goldfish are as edible as any other freshwater fish. I think it would be sad if you ate a goldfish and it probably wouldn't taste very good. Most goldfish enemies are removed if they are kept in an aquarium. Though if they are not in an aquarium, they will have to deal with cats. Goldfish do sleep, but they don't close their eye's because they don't have any eyelids! Goldfish have several different fins that help them move from place to place. A goldfish cannot swim backwards. I hope you like goldfish. Because I do. Ashleigh

Green sea turtles eat sea grass, squid, sponges, tunicates and algae. They mainly will eat fish. Hawksbill sea turtles have jaws shaped to help them get food out of reefs. Sea turtles live in almost every ocean. Sea Turtles have few natural enemies, sharks would be one but the turtles greatest enemy would be Mankind.
All sea turtles drink only seawater all of their lives. Loggerhead sea turtles and the riddle sea turtles have more powerful jaws to crush with. They eat crabs, mollusks, shrimp, and jellyfish. The sea turtle is large. It is also a weighty sea turtle with a wide, smooth shell. Weighing up to 700 pounds Green turtles are among the largest sea turtles in the world. They have a small head. Males are slightly larger than females and have a longer tail. Both have flippers that paddle. They paddle gracefully which make them powerful and graceful swimmers. I like sea turtles. I also like green sea turtles. I mostly like the green sea turtle. I hope you like them too. Ashleigh Hummingbirds mostly eat flower nectar. They may visit 1,000 flowers per day in their search for nectar. Hummingbirds come in many colors. There are blue, yellow, green, red and orange hummingbirds. One of there enemies is the Praying Mantis and another one is most likely wild animals like snakes, cats or sometimes dogs.
Other predators of the hummingbird are hawks, kestrels, tropical spiders, large fishes and frogs. A Ruby-throated Hummingbird beak is about 1 inch long. A Sword-billed Hummingbird has a beak that's 3 inches long. If you try to ketch one, it will peck you. Though they are pretty to look at. Depending on the species, hummingbirds can flap their wings anywhere from 40-80 times in one second, with the fastest being 90. During courtship, wing speed will increase further--even up to 200 times per second. A hummingbird's feet help them grip on branches and perch. Their feet are not made for balancing in the air or walking. I like hummingbirds. Most hummingbirds live in South America. Overs live in Alaska, and Chile. No matter if its a fat hummingbird, a little hummingbird, or a skinny hummingbird, I like them. You should too. Ashleigh The red kangaroo is the world's largest marsupial, and it is native to Australia. Female Kangaroos have one baby at a time. At birth a baby kangaroo is smaller than a cherry. The little kangaroo climbs into its mother's pouch as soon as it is born and does not leave for two months. Until they reach about eight months of age, threatened young kangaroos, called joeys, will quickly dive for the safety of mom's pouch when a predator is near.
As they grow a joeys' head and feet can often be seen hanging out of the pouch. Red kangaroos hop along on their powerful legs with great speed. A red kangaroo can reach speeds of over 35 miles an hour. Their bounding allows them to cover 25 feet in a single leap and to jump 6 feet high. Female red kangaroos are smaller, lighter, and faster than males. Larger male kangaroos are very powerful. Male kangaroos sometimes fight over mates. They often lean back on their tails and box each other with their legs. Kangaroos can also bite and use their sharp claws, which they may do in battle with an enemy like a dingo. Red kangaroos live in Australia's deserts and open grasslands, gathering in groups called mobs. Many animals roam Australia. Many are killed each year for their skins and meat. Humans also kill them for food. Ashleigh Pandas are mammals that have a big appetite for bamboo. Pandas eat for the first half the day. It hungrily the plucks stalks with wrist bones and thumbs. Pandas will sometimes eat birds or rodents as well. Wild pandas live only in China.
High bamboo forests are cool and wet—just as pandas like it. They may climb as high as 13,000 feet in the mountains to feed on bamboo. Pandas are often seen with their hind legs stretched out before them. Pandas are also good tree climbers, and swimmers. Pandas have sense of smell that males use to avoid each other and to find females for mating in the spring. After five-months, females give birth to a cub or two, though they cannot care for both twins. The blind babies are 5 ounces at birth and cannot crawl until they reach three months of age. They are born white, and develop their much-loved coloring later. Ashleigh Zebras are mammals which have patterns that may make it difficult for predators to see. These stripes may also help zebras recognize one another. They graze on grass. They even groom one another. Zebras live in small family groups.
Family members will always remain close with the herd. Zebras must be constantly aware of lions and hyenas. If a zebra sees a predator, it makes a noise to warn the other zebras. Ashleigh Moose are mammals that are the largest of all the deer species. Males have huge antlers, which can spread 6 feet from end to end. Moose have long faces and muzzles that dangle over their chins. A moose's bell sways beneath the throat. Moose are so tall that they prefer to browse in higher grasses and shrubs.
Though lowering their heads to ground level can be difficult. In winter they eat shrubs and pine cones. They also scrape snow with their large hooves to clear areas for browsing. When the ice melts, moose are often seen in lakes, rivers, or wetlands, feeding on plants both at and below the surface. Moose are at home in the water and are good swimmers. They have been seen paddling several miles at a time. They can also stay under water for 30 seconds or more. They can run up to 35 miles an hour over short distances, and trot at 20 miles an hour. Ashleigh Bobcats are mammals that live in forests, swamps, and deserts. Bobcats, are sometimes called wildcats. Bobcats eat deer, rabbits, birds, mice, squirrels, and other animals. Bobcats have long legs, large paws, and big ears. Bobcats are twice as big as housecats.
Most bobcats are brown or brownish red with a white belly and short, black-tipped tail. The cat is named for its tail, which happens to be cut, or bobbed. Baby bobcats will remain with their mother for 9 to 12 months. During this time they will learn to hunt before setting out on their own. Ashleigh I like jaguars a lot. The jaguar is the third-largest feline after the tiger, and the lion. It lives in the rain forest in South America. They may look like cheetahs, but they are not. If you ever mistake a jaguar for a cat, do not go to pet it.
My dad is allergic to cats. Jaguars eat meat, like any other predator. They really like fish a lot too! I have never seen a real one before. Don't go near one in real life or you could get bit. Ashleigh Today I read a new book called ''The Happy Farm Animals.'' One day a happy farmer was going to feed all the animals. Then He had to go to a friend's house to celebrate his birthday. When he fed all the animals, he went out to celebrate his birthday. A few minutes later cow said ''Farmer Brown always feeds us, he always pet us, and most importantly he gives us everything we need.
Why don't we give him a birthday gift? Everyone agreed. The horses pulled the wagon, The cows made milk, The sheeps cut their wool, the turkey dressed up the table, and the hens laid eggs. The ducks made fluffy pillows out of their feathers. The dog wached the farmer's house, and the cat caught all of the mice. When The farmer came home everything was perfect. Flamingos' feathers can be bright orange, rose red, or brilliant pink. All flamingos have very long legs. With there long legs, they look like there walking on stilts. Flamingos live near lakes, and lagoons. They eat shrimp, snails, and algae.
If a Flamingo eats a piece of food that is pink. It's normal color also changes to pink. A flamingo can go deep in the water to get food. But if the water gets too deep, it will swim. Ashleigh Tortoises and Turtles don't have teeth. But they do have sharp edges and jaws. This helps tortoises and Turtles eat when they are hungry. A Desert Tortoise lives on land, and eats wildflower, grasses and cactus's.
The sea turtle likes to live in the ocean. As soon as it hatches it is ready to swim! Sea turtles have flippers for swimming, They have lungs just like us. They can swim under water for a long time. Box turtles have shells with hinges that allow the turtles to pull their heads, tails, and legs inside and then close their shells up. Their shells protect from predators and harm. Their favorite food is berries, seeds, and worms. Ashleigh Polar bears eat meat. They are very good at hunting for food. Here is one reason why. There fur acts as a little thing we call camouflage. It blends in with the ice, and snow in the arctic, and helps them sneak up on other animals.
Here are two of the foods that polar bears like best. fish, and seals. One time Daddy saw a bear when he was fishing. It was not a polar bear though. But What ever kind it was I was glad I was not there. Ashleigh Yesterday I went hiking on a new trail with my Daddy, and my sister Maddie. I saw about 9, or 10 dogs. And I got a picture of each one! But I have some bad news too. I can not get the pictures that are on my iPad of the dogs to this computer. Because the last time Maddie tried that we had to erase all of my pictures. But there is some good news though. There was a little river with a bridge and I got to go across it!
And boy did I sleep last night. Ashleigh I like to look in the Zootles Magazines. Today we are not going to talk about a book. We are not going to talk about things that walk on land. We are going to talk about whales and other sea Creatures.
My favorite sea creature is the dolphin. One time my friend got to pet one. It was so cool! Dolphins have tiny teeth. Killer whales also have teeth. Killer Whales have sharp teeth. Both dolphins and whales have blowholes for breathing. They sometimes shoot water into the air through their blowholes. Ashleigh One Day I was walking my dog named Lucky, and he saw a bunny on a hill. He ran so fast he scared the little bunny. The little bunny ran away. The bunny jumped in it's hole. Lucky tried to get to him but the hole was too small! So Lucky went home to get a biscuit from Daddy.
Ashleigh I like a lot of animals. I like dolphins leapers cat's dog's horses and kimono dragons. I have seen a leopard in a book. I have seen cats and dogs in real life. As you know, I have a dog named Lucky. I play with Lucky and I feed Lucky. He loves food!
Ashleigh Yesterday I saw at least 20 caterpillars. There were so many of them! I put them on a patch of dirt. These were gypsy moth caterpillars and they eat leaves. They are not good for our trees!
Ashleigh Today I am going to talk about animals. My favorite animals are the leopard and our pet,
Lucky. I play with my dog. He likes to play tug-of-war with me. I love dolphins also. Ashleigh Today I am going to write about jungle animals. I started reading a book about them
today. Monkeys have hands just like us. They use them to help them climb trees along with their feet and tails. The monkeys live in trees and eat plants, insects, and fruit. The jaguar is a big, big cat with whiskers and a long tail. They have paws, not hands. He uses his paws to catch fish, and of course, to run. Ashleigh |
