This quote is by Pierre Comeille. He was born June 6 1606 and died October 1 1684. He was a french tragedian and was considered one of the three seventeen-century french dramatists.
Here are some examples of what this quote means: It was your birthday, and your friends came, and one of them says: hey i got you some thing, remember when we did this and "bla bla bla". That is what he is talking about. If someone comes up to you and says: "Ugh, here," and hands you a bottle of medicine something like that, that would be rude. This is a quote that I think is correct. I try to be nice to everyone, so should you! I think I should end with another quote. One must be poor to know the luxury of giving -- George Eliot. Ashleigh

This is a quote by Ralph Waldo Emerson. He was an American essayist, lecturer, philosopher, and a poet who died April 27, 1882. He was born May 25, 1803.
This quote means if you turn angry, you won't be happy for a while, but i guess the title already says that. I'll give you an example: I sometimes get mad at my sister, and I try to calm down, though it takes awhile to be happy after arguing with her. This is a good and true quote. I try to be happy all the time because of this quote, but sometimes that slips past me. It is not good to be mad of angry. It is good to be happy! I have a saying that I made up, "happy is healthy". Im not sure it is true, but to me, it is! Ashleigh This is a quote by Robert Frost. Robert Frost was born on March 26, 1874 and died January 29, 1963. He was an American poet as well as the winner of a Congressional Gold Medal and four Pulitzer Prizes for Poetry for his poetic work and writings.
I am going to show you an example of the time I did the thing he is talking about in this quote. I was shopping with Neema (my grandmother) and I spotted a leopard blanket that I wanted, there was also a zebra blanket. I went to grab the leopard, but I wanted to change a little since I always chose my favorite animal on everything. So I chose the zebra. Now that I think about it, I'm glad that I went with the zebra blanket! It helps me sleep and is very soft! He is saying in the quote that sometimes changes can be good. I think that he has a very nice and true quote. I always try to feel happy, though sometimes it feels good to be angry or sad. Though sometimes I get annoyed at the computer and want to punch it. So how am I taking the road less traveled? Most children go to school and don't get to spend time with there parents. I am home schooled and get to spend time with my dad. Changes can be good sometimes, even if most people pick the other path. In the end, I think the home-schooled path will make all the difference! Ashleigh This is a quote is by Charles Dodgson, better known as Lewis Carroll. He was born January 27, 1832 and died January 14 1898. He was an English writer as well as a mathematician, a photographer and a Anglican deacon. He is known for being the main Author of Alice's Adventures in Wonder Land, and Through the Looking Glass.
This quote means if you don't think before you speak, you shouldn't say it at all. Here is an example of what he means: Have you ever been yelled at or laughed at because you never think of what to say, and then say something dumb? That is what he is talking about in this quote. You shouldn't say something without thinking about what your saying. I agree with this quote because I have made mistakes like this before, and I now understand what I did wrong. Lots of people say things that make them get laughed or yelled at. Me and my sister could use some work on improving with things like this. This is an example of what he means: I do math on a website on my computer called IXL. I once said that I had done 3 math on IXL, though I had only had done 1 math. I got 5 more to do. P.S. Dad thought this was funny and told me to add it in as an example if I wanted. I couldn't think of any other examples, so I added it in here. Ashleigh This is a quote from Alice in Wonderland. I am going to give you some examples of what the quote means.
This is why my dad wouldn't go back to the past: Right now, he is 53. Mom died from drinking. If he went to the past, wouldn't it be strange if an old guy came up to you and said: Your going to die if you don't stop drinking. It would be strange, but true. What if you talked to yourself and told yourself something like: the winning lottery numbers are *insert random numbers here*. That would be cool, but if you went back to the present, your whole life would be changed! I agree with his choice If he became rich, I probably wouldn't be born! That is his choice and my choice. Ashleigh The fox is the smallest member of the dog family, although it also has many similarities with cats – such as vertical slit eyes and retractable claws. They also hunt like a cat, stalking their prey and playing with it before killing it.
Foxes are known to be friendly and curious. They play among themselves, like cats and dogs do. Although foxes are wild animals, their relationship with humans goes way back. Foxes have small tummies so they eat many small meals every day. They eat just about anything close to mice, rabbits squirrels, birds, bugs and lizards. Foxes live all over North America. They adapt very easily and can manage in a dense forest or a suburban neighborhood. They make their home under sheds, in the hollow of trees, in ground burrows, and in wood piles. Ashleigh Horses are found in almost every country in the world and every continent except Antarctica.
Some horses are trained for racing, others for showing or for dancing and acrobatics. The famous Lipizzan Stallions are known for their ability to perform and to entertain. They are a breed of horse from Europe celebrated for their white coat and their ability to jump and dance. Horses are not color blind they have two-color, visions. In other words, horses naturally see the blue and green color of the spectrum and the color variations based upon them, but cannot distinguish red. Depending on breed, management and environment, the modern domestic horse has a life expectancy of 25 to 30 years. Uncommonly, a few animals live into their 40s and, occasionally, beyond. The oldest verifiable record was "Old Billy", a 19th-century horse that lived to the age of 62. Horses are not jealous of achievements or advantages but they can be possessive and protective of their food, space, herd position, attention etc. Horses often seem to become jealous when a horse (or pony) has been in the same family for a long time and probably been the only horse. Ashleigh Ducks live in both fresh water and sea water and found on every continent except for Antarctica. A male duck is called a drake, a female duck a hen, and a baby duck a duckling. Ducks are omnivores which means they feed on aquatic plants, small fish, insects, worms, grubs and other things.
Ducks are sometimes called waterfowls, because they are usually found near bodies of water, like rivers, streams, and lakes. They are related to the geese and swan, two other waterfowls, which look similar to ducks. Ducks have webbed feet which are designed for helping them swim. Ducks, like most animals, are useful to humans. They provide us with eggs and meat. Some ducks provide us with feathers are used for stuffing quilts and pillows. After sight, hearing is perhaps the second most important sense to ducks and geese. Waterfowl rely on their hearing to maintain contact with mates and their duckling, even in noisy flocks. Hearing may be used by diving waterfowl to locate food. Ashleigh Polar bears have thick fur and have a layer of fat, known as blubber, that protects their bodies from the frosty air and near-freezing water. Polar bears even have black skin below their shiny coat, that helps them take in the Sun’s rays and keep heat.
Despite their size and bulk, polar bears area unit wonderful swimmers, and are noticed in waters over a hundred km offshore. They'll will swim at around ten km with their slightly webbed and then come back to shore. Although smart swimmers, polar bears aren’t fast enough to dependably catch seals in open water. Instead, they rely upon the ice as a looking platform. They wait close to seal respiratory holes or at the ice’s edge for a seal to surface. Female polar bears provide birth to their cubs in snow dens in October or December. At birth, the cubs are 30 cm long and weigh around 0.5.The cubs come out from the den 4 to 5 months later. The cubs will stick with their mother for 2 years, which throughout, they learn the abilities required to survive within the Arctic. Ashleigh The life of a honey bee depends on the kind of bee it is. Drone bees live for around eight weeks. Sterile worker bees tend to live up to 6 weeks throughout summer and 5 months throughout winter.
Bees play an important role in pollinating flowers. Impregnation is that the approach during which the male a part of a flower reaches the feminine part in order that a brand new plant will grow. Some insects, bees enclosed, have a heart associate degrees an artery (the vessel leading out of the heart) that pumps the blood and provides it some semblance of direction (from the rear of the insect to the front), however on the far side that there's no cardiovascular system. the guts floats within the hemolymph at the side of everything else Bees may be trained to acknowledge human faces, farewell because the insects are tricked into thinking that the faces are oddly formed flowers. The insects use the arrangement of face expression to acknowledge and distinguish one face from another. Ashleigh Small alligators are not a real threat to humans and won't attack people under normal circumstances. Sometimes people think small alligators, smaller than 3 feet, will make a good pet. In fact, trying to capture an alligator is the most common way people get bitten by one.
The only place where both alligators and crocodiles live side by side is Southern Florida. Alligators live in freshwater places like ponds, marshes, wetlands, rivers, lakes, and swamps, as well as in brackish water. Alligators have really bad eyesight on land. They have a “nictitating membrane” to protect their eyes so that they can see underwater. Alligators hear with ears that are found behind their eyes and are really sensitive to vibrations. After mating has taken place, the female builds a nest of vegetation. The nest can measure seven to 10 feet wide and two to three feet high. Then, around near the end of June and early July, the female lays 35 to 50 eggs. Some females can lay up to 90 eggs. Ashleigh For humans, (and possibly other animals) its hard to see in the murky waters of the deep, but sharks have excellent vision. Their night vision is better than a cat's or a wolf's and smell is 10,000 times better than a human's. Sharks can detect electrical impulses, including another animal's beating heart.
Mostly all sharks are carnivores, or meat eaters. This means they like fish and large sea mammals, like dolphins and seals. They also feed on turtles, seagulls, and sometimes, even other sharks! Sharks can range in size from tiny to as big as a bus. The spined pygmy shark grows only 7 inches long, while the whale shark can reach over 50 feet long. Most sharks are about the same size as a human, or slightly larger. Also known as the sleeper shark for its sluggish pace, the Greenland shark is one of the slowest swimming shark in the world. They average a cruising speed of 0.3 m/s (0.76 mph), but are capable of short bursts of speed. Ashleigh This isn't the whole story... sorry if i messed up some parts. This was supossed to be Plot for Warrior Cats but i din't know what to say about that so i made it the story... The real book report will be out soon. Also sorry if i'm not posting as often, i have work that i sometimes struggle on.
The first book starts of BrambleClaw having a dream of StarClan. StarClan tells him and three other cats to go to FourTrees where he was to meet the other cats at the next full moon. SquirrelPaw saw him walk in the forest and followed him to FourTrees and reveled herself explaining that she could not sleep and saw him walk into the forest. She promised him to not tell anyone. When they all got there, another cat was with FeatherTail. She quickly explained it was her brother StormFur. They all talk about what to do. They aren't sure so they wait for another sign from StarClan. Soon enough, BramleClaw got another dream about him drowning in a salty river near pointy jagged rocks. He quickly woke up, snook down to river where all cats drank, and told the other cats (CrowPaw, TawnyPelt, and Feathertail) about the dream. They found out that the place was called: The Sun Down Place. They all talked about it and decided to go there and find out why StarClan had sent them there. Along the was they met another cat named Purdy who helped them find The Sun Down Place. Along the way they fought rats, which bit TawnyPelt, infecting her. They tried to to cure it with burdock root and continued along the way. Soon after two days they reached The Sun Down Place, said goodbye to Purdy and walked up the mountain finding a badger at the top. Usually, Badger attacked cats, but this one was sent by StarClan and told them that monsters (construction machines) were going to take over the forest and destroy the Clans. Before they left, they quickly napped. Before dawn, BrambleClaw awoke and found the Badger (Midnight) staring at the upcoming sun and said, this isn't the end of your adventurer, it has just begun. Ashleigh Most species of centipedes are reddish brown. Name centipede originates from Latin language and it means "hundred legs". Despite its name, most species of centipede possess less than hundred legs. They usually have 15 to 30 pairs of legs.
Centipede usually live outside, but the House Centipede you can find inside as well. Centipedes usually live outdoors in damp areas such as under leaves, stones, boards, tree bark, or in mulch around outdoor plantings. If they are around the foundation of the house, they may wander inside. House centipedes are known for their fast, erratic running style. They often dart out from under things suddenly and run in jerking zigzag patterns. Yeah, it's the worst. You'll probably find house centipedes in your basement, though they're also common in bathrooms and crawl spaces. The only good thing about House Centipede is they tend to lurk in the humid areas of homes looking for bugs, including cockroaches, termites, spiders, and silverfish. They're not aggressive towards humans, but may bite you if you provoke them. The larger the centipede the more painful their bite may be. All centipedes use venom to kill their prey. Centipede bites rarely cause health complications in humans, and aren't typically dangerous. Ashleigh First things first, i want to say sorry that there is no setting for warrior cats 1. We had to return it to the library, and i have now started the 3rd book of warrior cats but i'm doing the 2nd book so you will understand the story. Lets get into it! Oh and btw, the book did not give me any description of the Clans so sorry if it's all over the place.
ThunderClan Camp: Cats of ThunderClan feel safe in it. It has animals the cats hunt and eat and a river to drink from. Cats say that StarClan watches over all 4 Clans and that dead cats go up to StarClan. WindClan: This Clan is more out in the open then ThunderClan. There Clan is at the very edge of the woods and the cats of WindClan usually spot eagles and vultures flying in the sky and take cover, since the birds prey on the cats. If a bird comes close to a WindClan cat, it will quickly run away, since WindClan is the fastest Clan. RiverClan: Unlike the other Clans, cats of RiverClan don't hunt in the woods, they catch fish in the river. RiverClan is shaded by a thick layer of branches and leaves which give the RiveClan cats good protection from humans and animals. ShadowClan: Cats of ShadowClan are usally very good hunters at both day and night. Since the sun doesn't shine much on ShadowClan, it gives them the advantage to pounce on their prey when its not looking. Ashleigh Main characters: Brambleclaw, Squirrelpaw, Cinderpelt, Crowpaw, Firestar, Purdy, Tawnypelt, Stormfur, Feathertail, Leafpaw. Last time i did 5 cats, now for the 5 more.
Purdy is an elder tabby cat with yellow eyes and rusty mud-brown colored fur. He lives near upwalkers (humans) and is wiser then he looks. He doesn't mind being insulted if someone insults him or anything, Even though most of the time he eats cat food, he isn't a pet, he mostly wanders. Tawnypelt is a pale tortoiseshell with green eyes. Tawnypelt is Brambleclaw's brother and is the smartest of the group. There isn't much to say about Tawnypelt except she's from ShadowClan so i'm gonna skip to the next. Stormfur is a dark gray cat with amber eyes. He likes to stick near Feathertail and protect her. Like he is smart just like Tawnypelt. There isn't much to say about him ether so i'm gonna skip to the next. Feathertail is a light gray cat with blue eyes. She is the fastest of the group and likes to stick near Stormfur most of the time. She is always positive and happy! Leafpaw is a light brown tabby cat with amber eyes and white paws. She tries to stay positive and is smart and helps Cinderpelt take care of the elder cats. Ashleigh Main characters: Brambleclaw, Squirrelpaw, Cinderpelt, Crowpaw, Firestar, Purdy, Tawnypelt, Stormfur, Feathertail, Leafpaw.
Brambleclaw is a dark brown amber-eyed tabby cat who is a little domineering and likes to get angry when yelling with Crowpaw, but he can be nice. He isn't the smartest of the group, but it dosen't mean he's stupid, he can sometimes be smart. Squirrelpaw is a dark ginger green-eyed cat (the book doesn't tell me the type of cat) who is very adventurous and likes to wander, she is the bravest out of the group and is Firestar's daughter. (Firestar is Thunder Clan leader). Cinderpelt is a dark grey blue-eyed cat (the book doesn't tell me the type of cat). She is a medical cat and is usually curious but also happy. She usually stays in the den, taking care of elder cats, but does leave if she needs to hunt or get some plants that help sicknesses. Crowpaw is a dark smoky gray (almost black) blue-eyed cat. Crowpaw is very impatient and is mad mostly all the time. He is strong and fast, but is still 2nd place in speed, while him and Brambleclaw are mostly at a tie at strength. Firestar is a ginger colored cat with green eyes and with a flame colored pelt. He is the leader of Thunder Clan and is the strongest cat in Thunder Clan. Has to daughters, Squirrelpaw and Leafpaw. Ashleigh Pelicans are a genus of large water birds that make up the family Pelecanidae. They have a long beak and a large throat pouch used for catching prey and draining water before swallowing.
Pelicans don't just eat fish. In 2006, Londoners were shocked when a pigeon was swallowed whole by a great white pelican at St. James's Park. Attacks like that aren’t unusual, although pelicans usually eat fish, they also prey on, amphibians, turtles, and other birds. If it can fit down their throats, it’s fair game. Most pelicans don't dive bomb their prey; they scoop it up while treading along on the water’s surface. To increase their chances of success, the birds occasionally form hunting parties, gathering in a U-shape and beating their wings on the water to corral fish into a tight cluster. Pelicans are found on many of the world's coastlines and also along lakes and rivers. They are social birds and typically travel in flocks, often strung out in a line. They also breed in groups called colonies, which typically gather on islands. Pelicans are threatened by chemical pesticides, such as DDT, which damaged the eggs of pelicans and many other species. Ashleigh Pink River Dolphin is a specie of dolphin that is found in the fresh water of Amazon river. It is the largest among all the river dolphin species and have certain unique adaptations which makes them different from the other river dolphin species.
Not all of the Pink river dolphins are pink. Mostly the young ones are grey and they get pink as they age. The adult male are more pinker than the females. This color is due to the blood vessels beneath their thin skins.Their scar tissue is pink in color and they fight a lot with each other thus they develop a pink color over time. The pink color also matches the red mud that occurs when the river flows in heavy rains. Some pink river dolphins are pink underneath and grey on the like other dolphins which are dark colored on the back and light colored underneath. This helps them in hiding from predators. When compared to the sea dolphins, amazon river dolphins are little smaller. Their average length ranges from 6 to 8 feet. An adult male can reach up to 8.2 feet (2.5 meters). Their average weight is between 185 and 355 pounds. An adult male can reach up to 508 pounds (185 kilograms). Ashleigh P.S. This was suggested by my Aunt. The record of steaks eaten in one sitting is THREE 72 ounce steaks. This seems insane but is no joke as competitive eater Molly Schulyer earned $5000 for winning the 15 pound challenge!
The U.S is well known for its love of beef and this is proceeded further when you see how much they eat. It’s estimated that each American consumes about 50 pounds of beef a year on average. Despite this, that number is just the 4th highest in the world as Brazil, Uruguay and Argentina have a much lower population than the staggering 300,000,000 that the US has. The A5 kobe strip steak, is a single steak can cost upwards of $700 and for good reason, this steak is insanely tasty and is the most expensive steak ever! The cows that produce this meat are bred solely for the purpose of perfect marbling (the way fat is around the muscle), this fat can sound quite daunting but it’s not the usual saturated fat, this fat is healthier for you. Steak has a lot of good nutrients to offer your body if it’s consumed as part of a healthy diet & lifestyle. It’s packed full of protein and iron which are great for pregnant women or anyone looking to increase their muscle mass. Ashleigh |
