The Chicken is a descendant of the Red Jungle fowl hybrid. The Gray Jungle fowl were in fact domesticated before the Red Jungle fowl. The idea to domesticate Jungle fowl originated in the northern parts of India. One can keep a raw chicken frozen for a time span of about 2 years. Though this kind of storage is possible and does not change the taste or flavor, it is advisable not to consume chicken stored for such a prolonged time period.
About 900 calories of chicken per serving, that contain about 50 grams fat, 200 milligrams of cholesterol, carbohydrates, oils, and proteins. More than half the entrees ordered in fast food chains, hotels, motels, and restaurants are versions of fried chicken. Did fried chicken originate in the United States? The answer is "yes and no". Fried chicken we eat originated in the United States, but the concept of frying this meat originated in Europe in the Middle Ages. Ashleigh

So obviously adult bald eagles aren't really bald, either—their heads have bright white plumage that contrasts with their dark body feathers, giving them a "bald" look. But young bald eagles have mostly brown heads. In fact, for the first four or five years of their lives, they move through a complicated series of different plumage patterns; in their second year, for instance, they have white bellies.
Bald eagles eat a lot of fish—but they don't always catch them themselves. They've perfected the art of stealing fish from other birds such as ospreys, chasing them down until they drop their prey. Bald eagles will also snack on gulls, ducks, rabbits, crabs, amphibians, and more. They'll like to search in dumpsters and feed on waste from fish processing plants. Trash and carrion aside, they're pretty romantic animals. Bald eagles tend to pair up for life, and they share parenting duties: The male and the female take turns incubating the eggs, and they both feed their young. Ashleigh Honor and a society is the idea of a bond between an individual as a quality of a person that is both of social teaching and of personal ethos, that manifests itself as a code of conduct, and has various elements such as valor, chivalry, honesty, and compassion.
It is an abstract concept entailing a perceived quality of worthiness and respectability that affects both the social standing and the self-evaluation of an individual or institution such as a family, school, regiment or nation. Samuel Johnson, in his Dictionary of the English Language defined honor as having several senses, the first of which was "nobility of soul, magnanimity, and a scorn of meanness". This sort of honor derives from the perceived virtuous conduct and personal integrity of the person endowed with it. On the other hand, Johnson also defined honor in relationship to "reputation" and "fame"; to "privileges of rank or birth", and as "respect" of the kind which "places an individual socially and determines his right to precedence". This sort of honor is often not so much a function of moral or ethical excellence, as it is a consequence of power. Ashleigh
Carrot area unit jam-packed with vitamins, minerals and fibers that area unit smart for your health. howeveringestion too several carrots will herald an excessive amount of carotin the molecule chargeable for carrots' bright orange hue and a precursor of antiophthalmic factor. this could result in excess blood carotene which mightdiscolor the skin. Each carrot you eat brings you nearer to death. Nearly all sick individuals have eaten up carrots. Obviously, the consequences area unit additive. Associate in Nursing calculable ninety nine.9% of all those that die from cancer and cardiovascular disease have eaten up carrots. Carrots area unit wealthy in carotin, that helps maintain robust sight. however if your eyes are not 20/20 to begin, ingestion carrots will not correct a vision downside. this can be why it's important as you age to consume foods that may keep your vision crisp and clear. Ashleigh Unlike snails that hibernate during winter, slugs are active whenever the temperature is above 5°C. A slug is basically a snail without a shell. Slugs used to live in the ocean, which is why they still need to keep moist.
Slugs are gooey and sticky, and they leave a trail of slime wherever they go. But that goo is pretty remarkable. It’s a liquid crystal, a substance that’s somewhere between a liquid and a solid. Slug slime is multi-purpose. It helps these critters move and climb challenging surfaces. It also protects them from fungi and bacteria. Plus, slugs can learn about each other and find potential mates by examining slime trails. Some land-living slugs can get pretty large. Europe’s ashy-grey slug is 10 inches long. But some sea slugs like the black sea hare can reach almost 40 inches and weigh 30 pounds. The slugs that eat the veggies in your garden may very well be invaders, such as the Spanish slug or leopard slug and that last species carries a parasite that can cause meningitis. And invasive slugs also cause trouble for other creatures. Some plants rely on ants to spread their seeds, and they reward the ants with a tasty treat called an elaiosome that’s attached to each seed. But invasive slugs can eat those treats before the ants find them. Ashleigh This quote was made by Gabriel Garcia Marquez (aka Dr. Seuss). Crying doesn't help anyone. People only think a fool of you when you cry, unless you cry for a reason. You will stop crying at some point or another so why do it.
Here is a example of what he is trying to say in the quote: Lets say you were driving home on a huge bridge across a beautiful lake and stopped to look at the view. But it starts to get dark and it rained. Don't cry, be happy you saw the view for a minute or two. (I din't know what to write so its gonna be lots of examples) Ur walking home and see a beautiful sunset and go closer and closer into the woods and onto a rock tilted upward. Soon, you start running closer until you get tired. You are happy to feel the cool air on Ur skin as you walk home in silents. (This was how i felt when we got home from a cross country trip). Me and my family had lots of fun riding and switching trains to get to San Francisco until we hit our destination and started walking around. Going back home was tiring but i was VERY happy to go home. Always try to brighten up someones day when their down. Ashleigh Roses that have different color have a different meaning then the rest, red rose is a sign of love, yellow of friendship, orange of enthusiasm, white of purity and pink of joy. Wild roses have 5 petals and 5 sepals. Lots of petals is a result of mutation and it can be seen in cultivated roses. Roses are well known by their pointy thorns.
Roses are native to China but are now grown across the world and thrive in sunny, well-drained soil. They like clay soils a lot but it is best to grow roses away from other plants so their roots are not disturbed. Thorns usually can't be broken off easily. ... Some scientists think that roses might have thorns to protect them from being eaten by animals attracted by their nice smell. Not all roses have thorns, though. Most do, but there are a very few varieties of completely thorn less roses. Technically speaking, roses have prickles and not thorns. Thorns have deeper roots in plants’ stem whereas prickles attach at the surface and are more easily removed. The prickles are derived from the climbing roses species which help when bonding to other plants and objects. Ashleigh Here are some weird random facts... (I came up with this idea RANDOMLY) A bolt of lightning contains enough energy to toast 100,000 slices of bread... You can hear a blue whale’s heartbeat from two miles away, but you might miss it because it only beats eight to ten times per minute. Nearly 30,000 rubber ducks were lost a sea in 1992 and are still being discovered today.
Here's a fact for all the people who like Subway footlongs: You probable know this but Subway footlongs aren’t a foot long. Coke saved one town from the Depression. Sears used to sell houses. Bottled water expiration dates are for the bottle, not the water. Pandas fake pregnancy for better care. Indians spend more than 10 hours a week reading, more than any other country in the world. Crocodiles are one of the oldest living species, having survived for more than 200 million years. The largest snowflake on record was 15 inches wide. A Canadian woman who lost her wedding ring while gardening found it 13 years later growing on a carrot. It’s illegal to own only one guinea pig in Switzerland. Flamin’ Hot Cheetos were invented by a janitor. Ashleigh Worms do not have lungs. They breathe through their skin through the transfer of oxygen absorbed by their skin. Since they don't inhale they must remain wet at all times so the transfer of dissolved oxygen can take place. They coat themselves in mucous especially in dryer conditions to keep from suffocating.
Worms don't have any teeth, but they do have a mouth. Since they don't have teeth they suck food through their mouths by the use of a powerful pharynx. They have a gizzard much like a chicken and it helps them grind their food. This is why it's important for them to swallow minerals made from stone to help grind the food. Well it's a given, of course, that adults are bigger, but the only way to tell the difference between a young worm and an adult worm is by the clitellum. If a worm has a clitellum (the thick band or ring) then you know that it's an adult. Ashleigh Scorpions have eight legs like their cousins – spiders, mites and ticks. They look a little like small lobsters, with a pair of pincers and a thin, segmented tail that curves over their back. They can be found on every continent around the world, except Antarctica, but they’re most common in deserts and areas of hot, dry lands.
Scorpions have a cool method for catching their food. When hungry, a scorpion will quickly grab its prey with its pincers, and then whip its telson (which the poisonous tip of their tail) forward to sting and kill the unlucky victim. Scorpions don’t only use their stings to kill their prey – they use it to defend themselves against predators, too, such as snakes, lizards and birds. Whilst the venom of most scorpions is only powerful enough to kill small creatures, there are around 30-40 species with a sting strong enough to kill a human. Thankfully, humans aren’t on the scorpion’s menu, and will only attack if they feel threatened or harmed in any way. Ashleigh P.S. sorry that there is no picture, it wouldn't work :( Arctic fox's (also known as Polar fox's or white fox's) can survive in temperatures as low as -58˚F (-14˚C). Arctic foxes have round, furry bodies, short legs, short ears and small muzzles, all of which help to reduce the surface area exposed to cold air. Their deep, thick fur is the warmest of all animals.
Camouflage is important, so they shed their fur. Those that live on rocky shores shed and are brown. In spring they shed revealing grey fur underneath. Arctic fox tails are around 13 inches long and are used mostly for balance, but they also are a blanket, as it can be curled around their face to protect their nose from the cold. The Arctic fox roam the Arctic Tundra like: Alaska, Canada, Greenland, Russia, Norway, Scandinavia and Iceland. Arctic foxes are very mobile, and will travel long distances across land and sea ice looking for food. They live in burrows which can be hundreds of years old and passed down through generations of foxes. Arctic foxes are omnivores, although a large amount of their diet is made up of small mammals including lemmings, voles and hares, lemmings are their favorite. Ashleigh My Daddy is a member in a car club that holds car shows in Hinsdale, NH. He sometimes also goes to the Kimball's car show in Jaffrey to look at the cars while I play in the grass. I think car shows are boring, but people have different tastes. I do get to play with my friends if they are there. I also like to get ice-cream at the food truck in Hinsdale, NH.
My Dad has a website if you want to look at it. cruisingragtops.weebly.com. The sad thing is Daddy's website doesn't have a lot of view's compared to mine. Please check it out. Not to point fingers, but I like the Rat Rod on his site. There are lots of cars like: Centurions, Rat Rods, Corvettes, Chevys, Fords and Pontiacs. My Dad also runs the website for his car club. He designed it and updates it. This site has lots of great pictures. You can check it out here: www.nowandthenvehicles.weebly.com . The picture at the top is my Dad's car by the way. Ashleigh Neptune is the forth biggest planet. When it was first discovered in 1846, Neptune became the most distant planet in the Solar System. But then Pluto took over in 1930, and Neptune became the second-most distant planet.
With an equatorial radius of only 24,764 km, Neptune is smaller than all the other gas giants in the Solar System: Jupiter, Saturn, and Uranus. Neptune is bigger than Uranus by about 18%. Because it's smaller but more massive, Neptune has a lot higher density than Uranus. The gravity of Neptune is only 17% stronger than Earth gravity. That’s the closest to Earth gravity in the whole Solar System. Neptune is 17 times big as Earth, but also has almost 4 times larger. The first person to have seen Neptune was likely Galileo, who marked it as a star in one of his drawings. However, since he did not identify it as a planet, he is not credited with the discovery. Imagine a hurricane with winds that go up to 2,100 km/hour. As you can probably imagine, scientists are puzzled how an icy cold planet like Neptune can get its cloud tops t0 move so fast. One idea is that the cold temperatures and the flow of fluid gasses in the planet’s atmosphere might reduce friction to the point that it’s easy to generate winds that move so quickly. Ashleigh A predator that manages to snag a puffer before it has a chance to inflate won’t feel lucky for long. Mostly all puffer fish contain tetrodotoxin, which is a substance that makes them bad tasting and often deadly to fish. Tetrodotoxin is deadly to mostly everything and is 1,200 times more poisonous than cyanide. There is enough toxin in one puffer fish to kill 30 adult men, and there is no known cure.
Amazingly, the meat of some puffer fish is really good. In Japan it is called fugu and it is very expensive and only made by fully trained, licensed chefs who know that one bad cut means certain death for a customer. In fact, many such deaths occur yearly. Most puffer fish are found in tropical ocean waters, but some species live in brackish and fresh water. The puffer fish has a long, tapered body with a big head. Some have markings and colors to advertise their toxicity, while others have more muted or cryptic coloring to blend in with their environment. Ashleigh Jared and Simon and Mallory go into their new house which looks like shacks stacked on top on each over. There were three bedrooms. One for Jared and Simon, one for Mallory, and one for their mother.
Lots of dust piled the attic, dinning room, living room and kitchen. A dumbwaiter sat on the first floor, showing a small space a little kid could crawl though. At the top of it was a secret room with tons of books and a desk. Near the desk was a painting of their great uncle Arthur that looked years old. The attic stairs were dusty and old, looking more and more scraped and dented each step. In the attic sat a chest with a field guide which told about all the creatures that lived in SpiderWick. In the boys room was two drawers and two lumpy mattresses. Their mother and sister got the same thing. Ashleigh Happy Memorial Day everyone! Guess who was in the Memorial Parade. Me and Daddy! But now i feel bad for the people who died in the war and how hard they tried. At least there in a better place now... But anyway, Even though i slept most of the parade, I got candy! And got to sit in the middle of the centurion. The people in the back seat through candy for the little kids to pick up and eat happily.
Ashleigh As Joe, Frank, and their friends walked through the woods, the moon in the night sky made the leaves on the trees glint. Gun shots from afar echoed through the woods making a loud thud, making the woods scary. Soon they headed back to there cabin. Back at there cabin was a nice fire making it a cozy place to be. Soon they headed to their Aunt and Mom's house to help a man who was shot in the leg.
At their Mom and Aunt's apartment, they slept there until morning and had a quick breakfast. To them it was safe and nice there. They got a airplane and met Bob Dodge and got on a helicopter but almost got shot by a gun attached to the door. Soon they called the police and looked for clues. Then they were brought to a big tower abandoned for a long time. Ashleigh Haddock is marine fish that belongs to the cod family. It can be found on the both sides of North Atlantic. Haddock is a bottom-dwelling creature that inhabits gravely, sandy and pebbly sea floor on a depth of 130 to 500 feet.
Fish is an important source of omega-3 fatty acids for brain and heart health, but it's also a good source of protein. ... Haddock, a saltwater fish related to cod, is considered a lean fish. Salmon has slightly more protein than haddock. Ashleigh Main characters: Joe Hardy is a 17-year-old boy who helps solve mystery's with his bigger brother, Frank Hardy. Joe usually always wants to quickly jump into things without a plan which leads to him getting lost, trapped or kidnapped mostly all the time, this makes him kind of like Daphne from Scooby Doo. Joe has blond hair, blue eyes and is a little bit taller then Frank. Joe picked up most of his detective skills from his father.Like his brother, Joe is a great sportsman.
Frank Hardy is a 18-year-old boy who also helps solve mystery's with his little brother, Joe Hardy. Frank always thinks things out before jumping into it, witch means he has more logic then Joe. Frank owns a peregrine falcon which they call Miss Peregrine. Frank Hardy, the fifth of the eight children of Thomas and Winifred Hardy, was born on 21 March 1917 at Southern Cross in Western Victoria and later moved with his family to Bacchus Marsh, west of Melbourne. Fenton Hardy, is father of Joe and Frank. Like his sons, he is also a detective and solves lots of mystery's. Not much is known about his parents or family. Fenton Hardy does have an unwed sister who is several years older than him, Gertrude Hardy, as well as a brother and a sister-in-law, Janet Hardy. Fenton also has a niece, Sue Hardy, who is only a year or two younger than his sons, Frank Hardy and Joe Hardy. Bad guy: Big Al is the leader of a gang that is trying to kill the Hardys. Mostly he yells at his workers. But he did manege to trap the hardy boys for a little until they knocked him unconscious with a shovel. After took him back to camp tided up, he mostly just shouted at them. George Washington (1732-1799) was commander in chief of the continental army during the American Revolutionary War (1775-1783) and served to terms as the U.S. president (1789-1797). The son of a prosperous planter, Washington was raised in colonial Virginia. When he was a young man, he worked as a surveyor then fought in the French and Indian War (1754-1763). In 1787 he was elected president of the convention that wrote the U.S. Constitution. Two years later, he became America's first president. Less than three years after leaving office, he died at his Virginia plantation, Mount Vernon, at age 67. On January 6 1759, he married Martha Custis. George started off with a sore throat, his conditioned worsened and late in the evening, on December 14 1799, he died of quinsy.
Washington received he initial Military training and command with the Virginia Regiment during the French and Indian War. Washington utilized slave labor, owning and trading African American slaves but he became troubled with the institution of slavery and freed them in his 1799 will. Washington never occupied the white house, which was not finished until after his death. Although he oversaw the construction of the white house he never lived in it. Ashleigh |
